Boating and a Birthday

We drove for 2 1/2 hours and I personally thought that there wasn't a reservoir that existed at the end of the winding 2 lane road we were on. We hardly passed anyone except for some cows and then all of a sudden the canyon opened up and there was this beautiful reservoir that stretches over 60 miles long. There's only one way in and one way out and I swear it's something that only the locals know about. It was beautiful! Very Lake Powell like.

My dad arranged the afternoon boat trip and we had a fabulous time. Thanks Dad for letting all four of us come and not being too upset when we made us late!

Of course I didn't take any pictures of the beautiful scenery. We did get this family shot- check out my hair blowing in the wind!


The boys couldn't wait to get into the water to swim. Once we got them in, we had a very hard time getting them out.


Gibson discovered the joys of looking in binoculars. It kept him busy for a good amount of time. We saw wild horses and mountain goats.

We celebrated Jared's birthday when we got home. How does one celebrate a birthday in the midst of packing? With a pan of brownies from Albertson's and a match as a candle! Don't feel to sorry for the guy. He was spoiled. He now has a new friend named Mac.

Happy Birthday Jared! We love you from the moon to the stars and back! You're the best husband and dad! We're so lucky you're ours!!
